Handmade For U are an Irish gift company, based in Kilpedder, Co. Wicklow.

 

My name is Barbara Kirk and I started Handmade For U in 2006. As a mother of four daughters, having always enjoyed crafting with my children through their early years, I found as they grew older that it was time to do something for me. I decided to take a stall at Marlay Park Farmer's market selling some of my handmade plaques and giftware. Thankfully, the business grew from there, with people returning to buy and order more personalised plaques. Realising that my handmade creations were becoming increasingly popular, I opened the doors of Heart & Home in Enniskerry Village in April 2010.

The shop became a wonderful platform to showcase my ever-growing range of products. With more & more demand, an extra pair of hands was needed - and I was so lucky to find just the right person in Kate Burke. Kate has brought so much to the business and has become an integral part of the Handmade For U team. Following a wonderful ten years trading in the village, we made the tough decision to close the doors of our little shop during COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.

We now operate from my home studio in Kilpedder, where myself & Kate are lucky to continue fulfilling orders for our loyal (and new!) customers everyday. We couldn't do this without the support of every single person who has placed an order or visited our stall in Marlay Park, and we are so grateful to you all.
